Midnight Moments: 13.Song
There were songs that would play in my mind from day to day based on my mood. I'm not sure if that applies to anyone else out there.
For Penny, it was usually some song she had found playing on the radio. She spent a lot of time with the radio playing in the office. That was probably why.
This week it was [still feel] from this band called 'half alive'. She had found it from YouTube and not the radio. So she had her earphones right there playing the song as she walked up the pavement to Mr. M's place. It was going to be the first time that they would ever meet. Editor and author. Author and editor.
Sometimes, Penny would wonder while she listened to songs. Today she was wondering what is the connection between an editor and the work they edit. How much of it can they properly influence. If such, how much of it is properly the author's?
Well sometimes, its like a song from a band. The drummer is an important part of keeping the beat but what he plays may sometimes be written by someone else. Sometimes the songwriter allows freedom for them to improvise. Either way, what the drummer plays is an integral part to the song.
